-For this project you will select a research topic to work on. You are NOT writing a paper! It is more like a paper proposal
-You will submit the project in APA style (typed, 12 point font, Times New Roman)
-A hard copy is due in class. If you are not in class that day, please email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If it’s late for any reason, you will lose points.
-You must use 5 sources. Your sources can include books, ebooks, and articles you find through the library databases. Only 1 source may be a website.
-You will submit:
1. A cover page
2. The topic, with a clearly defined thesis statement. The thesis statement should state something meaningful-not something obvious.
3. A written description of how and why the sources in the References list were found and selected. You may apply the 5 criteria for evaluating websites to all of your sources (Authority, Currency, Accuracy, Coverage, and Objectivity). The sources should be relevant to supporting your thesis statement. Tell me why they are good, credible sources to support your argument.
4. In-text citations are to be included. Whenever you use any facts, quotes, or ideas from the sources you are evaluating, please indicate this with parenthetical in-text citations in the body of your text.
5. A 5 item References list. The list must be alphabetized. Start references on a new page after the body of your text. Remember to use the hanging indent when you type each APA citation. So a sample citation will look like this:
Heinerman, J. (1988). Heinerman’s encyclopedia of fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Paramus, NJ: Prentice Hall.
